From being a child hosting tea parties, fancy dress gatherings and sports competitions, to being that adult suggesting invitations, pre-drinks, costumes, snacks, decorations, goody bags for even the simplest of cinema outings…
And arranging every baby-shower, hen-party, birthday party…
(really need to float the notion of a day rate to friends..)
The name Typing In The Night came from something I once said as a child. My journalist mother used to stay up late working away on the typewriter and I would fall asleep to the noise of the clicking keys. I understood this was how she made money. So when I was told in a shop once that I couldn’t have something because we couldn’t afford it, I simply responded with, ‘Can’t you do some more typing in the night?’ It turned into a bit of a mantra. A mother, working hard late at night to keep a roof over her child’s head.
It became my work ethic.
Bright, confident and creative, with outstanding client relationship skills, I am goal-orientated, with a long history of leading, being the point of contact for senior clients, and being part of a team. Working across a wide range of events, in both the UK and abroad, my main focus is to use my background and experience to deliver more and more successful events across the industry.”
